Holding back … with style

In the last article I discussed typographic style, and before that motivation. To recap: only intrinsic positive motivation is effective in the long term; productivity is the core concern of Software Engineering; typographic style matters (but its not about where you put braces and indents); and there isn’t One Right Style.rnrnIf research is not conclusive about which style is best, shouldn’t we just select one and enforce it, certain that any style is better than none at all?
